Mitchell Berger

CEO
Mitchell L. Berger, Chief Executive Officer brings over 30 years of search experience to Stephen-Bradford. Mitch’s broad understanding across industries, has allowed for his continued commitment to driving his teams’ business. He regularly counsels the firm’s leadership in talent management strategies and human resources matters. His passion for coaching colleagues, clients and candidates is demonstrated by his commitment to delivering beyond client expectation on each and every search. Mitch is instrumental in creating and fostering a company culture that encourages team members to play an integral role in the firm’s success. He also leads the company in operations, finance and administration and is a key decision maker regarding the growth of Stephen-Bradford Search.

Linda Schaler

President
Linda Schaler, President joined Stephen-Bradford Search in 2001. Linda brings many years of Executive Search, Advertising and Marketing industry experience to her leadership role at Stephen-Bradford. As a Search Consultant, Linda is responsible for providing the firm’s clients with insights and direction on evolving their organizational structures and capabilities, developing senior management succession plans and defining profiles of key senior hires. 

Linda’s Search career was preceded by a successful career in the Advertising and Marketing industry, during which she worked at several global, New York based agencies, including: Bozell, Grey and Jordan McGrath/Arnold WW. In this capacity, she had the benefit of partnering with major blue-chip clients such as Kraft, Revlon and Procter & Gamble as well as leading healthcare companies, including: Novartis and SmithKline Beecham. Linda finds that her industry experience and personal network are integral to conducting senior level searches and building Stephen-Bradford's advertising, media, analytics and market research practices.

Linda graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an honors degree in Art History and a minor in Business from The Wharton School.

Nannette Willner

Managing Director – Beauty, Luxury, Style
Nannette Willner is the Managing Director of Stephen-Bradford’s Beauty, Luxury and Style Practice. Nannette is recognized as a premier recruiter with over 20 years of experience. Her passion for these industries and keen ability to identify stellar talent contribute to enduring partnerships with preeminent companies from global corporations to boutique brands. With her dynamic personality, deep industry knowledge and ability to ask the right questions, Nannette grasps her clients’ needs and engages senior level talent who contribute to their growth.

Elyse Barbell

Managing Director – Nonprofit
Elyse Barbell is the Managing Director of Stephen-Bradford’s Nonprofit Practice. Prior to SBS, Elyse was the Executive Director of the Literacy Assistance Center. Under Elyse's leadership the LAC provided training to staff members at more than 500 agencies serving more than 100,000 youths and adults. These included classroom instructors, volunteers, and other staff members from agencies that offer adult basic education, English as a Second Language, GED preparation, workforce development, family literacy, and after school programs. Elyse has facilitated dozens of conferences and was a presenter at the 2007 American College of Physicians conference, among others. She was honored to be included as part of the United States delegation to UNESCO's Adult Education Confintea VI in Belem, Brazil. Elyse holds a B.A. from Hofstra University

Eric D. Zack

Senior Director, Higher Education
Eric D. Zack is the Senior Director of Stephen-Bradford’s Nonprofit and Higher Education Practices. Eric has been working with global nonprofit organizations as well as colleges and universities for over 20 years. Prior to joining SBS, Eric worked with the education division of NBC News providing learning resources for educational entities. He has also worked in higher education in a variety of leadership positions at the University of Michigan, Georgetown University, the University of Massachusetts, and Suffolk University. At Stephen-Bradford, Eric is responsible for client management, candidate development and recruitment, and all facets of successful search execution. Eric’s unique experience working for diverse institutions coupled with a deep understanding of how organizations operate make him uniquely qualified to build the SBS Nonprofit and Higher Education practices. 

Eric graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Communications.

Hank Lowenstein

Senior Director, Conservation and Environmental



Hank is a Senior Director of Stephen Bradford Search and leads the conservation and environmental practice team. Hank has a lifetime of boots-on-the-ground experience saving wild animals and wild places, and has strong views about making planet earth a sustainable environment for future generations. Hank is a long-time well-respected search consultant who has recruited world class talent for non-profit conservation and environmental groups that save birds, big cats, and elephants, as well as organizations that purchase and protect wild land areas which are important habitats to these many wild species.
Prior to joining Stephen Bradford Search, Hank was the Executive Director at the NY City Health and Hospitals Corporation and the CEO of Nursing Services, Inc., a California based provider of home healthcare services and hospital staffing.

Hank is a graduate of Boston University with a degree in Business Administration.

Miriam Raccah

Senior Director – Nonprofit
Miriam Raccah joined Stephen-Bradford Search to expand the firm’s nonprofit practice to include preparatory educational organizations. Prior to Stephen Bradford, Miriam had a long career in nonprofit. Most notably she was the founding Executive Director of Girls Preparatory Charter Schools and the Public Prep Network. Miriam has also worked at Achievement First Network and Urban Teaching Corps. She has experience in the education reform movement including founding high performing schools and focusing on the development of teachers and community engagement. Prior to her work with schools, Miriam was involved in workforce development and housing services also in New York City. Miriam holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona and an MBA from NYU.

Judy Miller

Managing Director – Media Publishing and Technology

Judy Miller is the Senior Director of Stephen-Bradford’s Media Publishing and Technology Practice. Judy focuses on placing senior level talent at media, digital technology and content publishers across all platforms. As a veteran of the media industry, Judy has served in multiple leadership positions in organizations such as Penton and Reed/Elsevier where her responsibilities included management of magazines, websites, conferences, trade shows, and information businesses. A recognized expert in content marketing, Judy also serves as a business development consultant for the New York Content Council. This experience provides her with the ability to understand the unique needs of her media clients and the complexities of the positions she is hired to fill. Judy graduated with honors from Queens College, and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from City College. judym@stephenbradford.com
